Updated to 4 stars. So much potential. Need to fix a few things This morning I took out my Panasonic Lumix GH2 camera with 14-140mm lens to do some sharpness comparisons. I wanted to give an extra star for picture quality and compression. I would like to get Sony to update the firmware on the camera to give super fine quality or even better, RAW to make this an amazing camera. Along with improvements to the PlayMemories app, this is close to a 5-star product.

Amazing camera for the price! Great camera for the price! I have a DSLR which is too big for me to carry everywhere and I hate using my phones 8MP camera vs my DSLR's 24.2 MP. But now this Sony QX30 has solved the problem for me it packs 20.4 MP and has up to 30x optical zoom! Great for telephoto and it can go up to 60x with clear image zoom. And the video is great! Its full hd and super smooth and the sound quality for the built in mic is also great! It works great on my iPhone 6 so if you have an iPhone don't worry it...

Great camera for travel After playing with this with a couple of days, I like it. It is not perfect, but it is very good. The camera takes awesome pictures and videos - not comparable to my SLR, but pretty darn good. The 30x zoom range is impressive and a great add to a cell phone camera. I used it both on a Moto X (2nd gen) and an iPhone 6. Setup wasn't difficult with either, but using NFC on the Moto X was definitely easier.
